The iconic Hembrugterrein in Amsterdam Noord will feature an exclusive ADE event on October 20th called ‘Our House’, a powerhouse collaborative concept between James Hype and Meduza.

Separately, James Hype and Meduza are responsible for some of the biggest hits in recent years. Meduza has pioneered a new age of electronic music with tracks like Piece Of Your Heart, Lose Control and Paradise, while James Hype exploded onto the scene after his hit record More Than Friends and Ferrari.

Together, these chart-topping hit makers have created the ‘Our House’ concept and introduced a special request for the ADE edition: a no phone policy. Their intention during their 3 hour back-to-back performance is to bring back the original party atmosphere by encouraging people to be in the moment and enjoy themselves with no distractions.

The duo explains:

“Amsterdam! We’ve been contemplating how to bring us all back to the core of what we do best and we’ve come to a conclusion. We have decided to uphold a strict no phone policy at James Hype & Meduza present Our House during Amsterdam Dance Event. This means no phones on the dancefloor and no pictures or videos. Everything started with a passion for music and live events and we want to bring us back to that principle. We intend for the dance floor to become a place to enjoy music and meet new people without any outside distractions, allowing us to truly go back to our love for this industry. We hope we can count on your support in achieving this and now more than ever to bring the very best version of yourself. See you soon!”

While it may seem unconventional to the modern-day festival goer, the use of cameras has always been prohibited in underground places such as Berghain in Berlin.. It will likely be a new experience for fans of James Hype and Meduza, but since the initial announcement of the concept and no-phone policy, the intent has been well-received and has only drummed up excitement for the collaborative concept.

This ADE edition of Our House is produced by Amsterdam-based ALDA, the events agency also responsible for AMF. Tickets are available via oh-ade.com, starting at €54,50.
