DJ Felix Jaehn is starting off 2024 strong with ‘Waking Up’, a collaboration with Leony. As an artist known for capturing the essence of large parties and festivals in his music, this track is set to deliver the same energy we’ve seen from Felix in the past.
This track blends sounds of the retro ‘80s and an infectious party beat, all complemented by the fantastic vocal performance of Leony. The lyrics capture the universal struggle of facing the morning, with lyrics such as
“My feelings like my liquor bottled up, It’s 10 am, don’t think I can get up, I need to get on top of all this stuff.”
Felix Jeaehn and Leony first crossed paths in Berlin in 2019. Their musical partnership spawned this collaboration that is a true testament to their friendship, and the perfect way to kick off 2024.
Felix noted that the track really came to life when “we were hanging out on a trip in November, sitting by the pool. Leony showed me some ideas for her new music. When we played the first version of “Waking Up,” everyone around us knew it was something special.”
