Have you heard Roman Aloy and John Dish’s new track “Baby“? The high energy track has been on repeat for us, and the official music video is now out! We also got a chance to chit chat about his beginnings with music, love for EDM, and some of his favorite artists!
Take us back to the most memorable moment of your music career so far.
I remember when I signed my first track to a small label from England called Elliptic Records. I was very inspired by that and very grateful to them for jumpstarting my professional career.
When did you know that you wanted to pursue music as a career and lifestyle? What led you to that decision?
I can’t really say if there was a day I decided to become a DJ and producer. It was something that came to life naturally, over a period of time and pure love to EDM music and the scene.Â
Did you grow in in a musically talented family? What did you listen to and who are some of your biggest musical influences?
No one in my family is in music industry. My mother used to be a teacher of the Russian language and literature for over 15 years and my father is an entrepreneur. I’ve been listening to EDM ever since I remember myself. At the same time, I am still very open minded to other genres of music like Top 40, Rock and Hip-Hop.
Run us through a day in your life.
Morning workout, a bowl of cereal, run errands and studio sessions.Â
How often do you come across artistic blocks and what do you do to combat them?
It doesn’t happen that often, but if it does, I might go out with friends and listen to good music and get my mind to relax. That usually helps me.
What has been your favorite track produced up to date and why?
My latest collaboration with John Dish titled “Baby” is definitely my favorite at the moment. I played it at my previous shows and in my guest mixes and the feedback has been amazing. Also, we have a music video coming up for it on August 15th.
Favorite collab or artists you’re hoping to work with in the future?
Have you heard Adele rapping on “Carpool Karaoke”? I was blown away by that. If I had a chance to collaborate with her I would ask her to rap on our song.
Who is absolutely going to rip it up in 2017?
There are so many awesome producers at the moment that deserve the spotlight. One of my favorites is Martin Garrix. Â
What is the one thing that fascinates you most in this world?
Happiness! Watching people fall in love while randomly meeting at music festivals, joy and unity, anything that makes people happy is truly fascinating to me.Â
If you could be anywhere right now, where would you be?
Rio 2016 cheering for USA teams.
What is something that the music industry could use more or less of? What about the world?
The EDM industry is full of influential artists that stand up together against cancer, hunger, bullying and many more. It’s a Plur community that the world could learn a lot from.Â
Which social media platform are you addicted to, and what’s the best way for your fans to reach you?
Every social media outlet is important these days. My favorite is Instagram and as of right now Instagram or Facebook is the easiest way to connect with me.
Lastly, what are you most grateful for in this moment?
I’m very grateful for this interview, opportunities that I’ve been given to perform and showcase my music, my management team that develops me to become a better person, artist and of course a constant support from my fans that believe in me and of course my family.
