Festival season is finally upon us! Huzzah! First stop on my list this season is the intimate, community focused event called Enchanted Forest: Gathering (EFG). This 3 day camping event starts on June 9th at Black Oak Ranch in Mendocino County, providing a beautiful and rural forest backdrop. This will be Neon Owl’s second year attending and I could not be more excited. EFG was one of our most memorable experiences from last year and based on the lineup this year will be no different.
Now, first and foremost I have to mention that non-other than Tipper will be headlining this festival as his ONLY California event for 2017 (que my fan girl scream). I discovered Dave Tipper last year at a festival in Colorado called Sonic Bloom and have been obsessed with him since. He played 2 sets that weekend; a downtempo/ambient set as well as an uptempo set. Both sets blew my mind. The Floozies, Space Jesus, and Tokimonsta are a few others taking the stage at this life transformational festival. Last but not least, we of course are beyond stoked to catch the homie Psy Fi who we discovered at last year when we popped our EFG cherry. We cannot wait for Psy Fi to play the latest off of his science fiction inspired album, “Totality.”
Along with the music EFG also offers a wide variety of workshops focusing on dance, yoga, philosophy and even flow toys. With so much planned for Enchanted Forest, it is sure to be a wonderful and fun filled experience. Hope to see you all out there next month!
