Last Heroes is a two person production group made up of Garrett and Brian. They originally met in Colorado, and have since grown into the Melodic bass duo that today is coming out with their first studio album in February 2023. Elaine and AJ, of the Neon Owl team, sat down with the pair of producers to discuss their growth from meeting on SoundCloud to how they became what they are today.

The interview covers not only their growth, but how the guys were acclimating to the Groove Cruise environment and enjoying it. Groove Cruise is a place where artists can let loose and spend time with their fellow artists through various activities like wine and whisky tasting. Watch the interview to find out which one Last Heroes did, and which one they prefer!

As for their music, they dive into their Groove Cruise sets, how they started making music together, and how that grew over time. As a two person duo, they talk about how they handle the dynamic of working from a distance in two different time zones, and how they handle the actual production workload between the two of them to make the amazing music that they do.

The successful duo also goes into gratitude for what they have done already as an artist duo, and balancing that with the growth of looking to be even better.  This flowed directly into how they are building their sound and truly becoming “Last Heroes” through a “personal and diverse” debut album and their first release on that, “Odd Ones Out” with Dia Frampton. They even get into where and how they made all this music by getting away from it all.

To wrap up, the Neon Owl team asked our classic questions around sailing the ship and where it should be, and what themes the guys would have everyone dress up in. Make sure to watch the interview to check out their answers!
