This dynamic duo, comprising the Seattle-born pals Kira and Jamie, now rules the nightlife scene from their base in Los Angeles. Their musical journey began in 2022, and in the blink of an eye, they ascended to the grand stages of festivals like EDC and Beyond Wonderland. Their tracks have found a home on esteemed labels such as Insomniac’s IN/ROTATION and CID’s Nightservice.

Amidst the swells of the 20th anniversary sailing of Groove Cruise and Miami Music Week, we scored a rare moment to dive into the minds of these sonic wizards. Max Low spun their magic across multiple sets at each event, in addition to being on the panel for Open Door Sessions giving insightful production feedback to up and coming artists.

As we delved into the depths of their musical universe as they shared vulnerably about their origin stories to their triumphs, dream collaborations, and standout tracks.

The thrill of getting our first track signed was like hitting the jackpot! But playing at EDC? That was a dream we didn’t even dare to dream, and yet, there we were, making it a reality.

Throughout their sets, they teased us with snippets of unreleased tracks that have been setting dancefloors ablaze, and smoothly showcased the seamless synergy between them as creative partners.

Our musical tastes are really similar but I think it’s fun when we get together because you can find the weird differences. Maybe I’ll go a little darker and you’ll go a little more like what people actually want to hear.

Reflecting on their journey and pondering what advice they would offer to their younger selves, Max Low shared insights imbued with wisdom and experience.

Not being scared and judging yourself against other people thinking of what you’re supposed to be, you should be doing and what you should look like.Knowing that it’s ok to not be like anything you see and just do it anyway, enjoying the journey and not so focused on the destination.

And when we dared to peek beyond the stage, they reminded us of the importance of balance, of nurturing the soul amidst the whirlwind of touring life.

There’s nothing quite like waking up to a bed full of cats. It’s those moments that remind us of the simple joys amidst the chaos.
