With a huge fan base already established in the states before his move to the US, the anticipation of San Pacho moving to your city was high, and of course, the first question had to be,
Why Chicago?
I feel like it has a really good house music community there. And the music scene is really good, the food scene is really good, it’s in the middle of the country. I like four seasons. There’s a lot of reasons why I chose Chicago, I feel like it all adds up a little bit but I have love for every, almost every major city here. They always show me love.

We’re going back to where it all started, about how he got into creating music and how the journey has been.

Tell us about what inspired you to start pursuing music.

” Funny enough, my dad always, always played electronic music, it was like a regular thing. And then we were like, I have this like random memories. We were in a bowling alley or something and I just saw this dude spinning on vinyl. I was like, damn that’s cool. Yeah I wanna do that. Ever since then I was kind of dabbling in FL studio as a kid, making the worst beats ever, and I don’t know why it worked out, but it did work out. I’m on fucking Groove Cruise because I’m going to the Bahamas right now. So I don’t know, things worked out. “

You’ve been making music for a long time, were there any breakthrough moments?

” There wasn’t a moment where things just clicked. It was like a progressive thing. I remember before I was even San Pacho, Tchami played a song of mine and reached out to me, so it was the first breakthrough moment. Shoutout to Tchami. That was a surreal experience and as I released more, ever since then, it was kind of constantly going up. “

What would be three pieces of advice you have for aspiring artists?

” Definitely work hard because this is a toxic environment but it’s rewarding to do it…Don’t be a douche bag…and be yourself “

In contrast to his packed schedule of touring for shows and festivals, San Pacho says being in routine makes him happy.
” I’m like a routine person, like waking up, doing my workout, and then going into music stuff. I feel like having a certain routine for me is happiness, being surrounded by friends and family. “
