Imagine Music Festival, taking place from September 14-17 in Kingston Downs, GA, is an “aquatic-themed festival set in an organic oasis [that] will feature three days of the world’s best musicians, artists, and performances filled with the most beautiful rich ocean art, costumes, decor, and master-crafted stages brought to life.” The festival’s location change last year immersed attendees in sprawling fields and woodlands, rolling hills, and nature trails.

While a location like this holds plenty of promise for a magical festival experience, Imagine’s lineup features four back-to-backs that caught our eye. With two of those B2B’s being premier performances, and two being tried-and-true collaborative sets between paired artists, you won’t want to miss these sets!

Subtronics B2B Ganja White Night

Friday, September 15

First up, a premier B2B at Imagine: Subtronics B2B Ganja White Night. Philadelphia native Jesse Kardon’s love for SUBwoofers and elecTRONICS brought us his alias, Subtronics. Fusing his unique blend of cutting-edge sound design with hard-hitting bass, Subtronics pushes the envelope with sound engineering. He has amassed a loyal following with his high-energy sets and advanced mixing skills.

Belgian Bass duo Ganja White Night members Benjamin “Bamby” Bayeul & Charlie “Erwan” Dodson are best known in the electronic community with their iconic “wobble sound.”  With their musical roots ranging from early UK bass sounds to the reggae vibes, they’ve created their own unique sound that they can express freely through their live performances.

Dillon Francis B2B Knock2

Sunday, September 17

Imagine Music Festival boasts another premier B2B between Dillon Francis and Knock2. American electronic music producer, DJ, and “social media prankster”Dillon Francis helped to popularize the new Moombahton genre, later giving his music a harder sound and adapting it further into Moombahcore and EDM trap. For Richard Nakhonethap, aka Knock2, this B2B with Dillon Francis at Imagine will also be his premier headlining slot. Bursting onto the scene with massive collaborations like “radial” with ISOxo and “What’s The Move” with veteran Henry Fong, Knock2 has also quickly garnered support from from iconic DJ’s such as DJ Snake, Tiesto, and Joyryde.

NGHTMRE b2b with DJ Diesel

Friday, September 15

Receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews after taking place at Decadence Arizona in 2018, Imagine will bless attendees with a NGHTMRE b2b DJ Diesel set. NGHTMRE (Tyler Marenyi) burst onto the scene in 2015, when Skrillex dropped his unreleased single “Street” on the main stage at Ultra Music Festival. He then embarked on a near sell-out, thirty-four city “Gud Vibrations” US bus tour with best friends Derek and Scott of SLANDER, and the three later launched Gud Vibrations as an official record label in late 2018. NGHTMRE’s resume hosts a slew of successful music and star-studded collaborations, and his well-deserved reputation as a top-notch live performer has led to a packed tour schedule.

DJ Diesel, famously known as all-star basketball player Shaquille O’Neal, has a sound best described as a mix of EDM, rock and hip-hop. His recent album, “Gorilla Warfare,” released on Monstercat, features 10 tracks with fellow DJ collaborators including Jessica Audiffred, Crankdat aka Christian Smith, Hairitage, CELO, VRG & Blackway, Soltan, Kompany, TRXGGX, Rated R and Chassi & Kozmoz. Of his experience playing festivals and clubs, Diesel says he finds the experience as satisfying as stepping out on a basketball court, stating “It gives me the feeling of a playoff game. People are ready to jam and have a good time. It’s our job as athletes and DJs to give them their money’s worth.”

Dab the Sky

Saturday September 16

While not listed on the lineup as a B2B, Dab the Sky is a touring collaborative back-to-back consisting of multi-talented producers, DJs, and musicians, Dabin and Said the Sky.  Dabin Lee is known for his melodic productions influenced by blues, indie and folk music. Trevor Christensen, Said the Sky, has found success with his blend of future house, dubstep and trap. Said the Sky and Dabin (Dab the Sky) are long-time collaborators and friends, and have also toured with fellow DJ Illenium on his Ascend Tour. The two have successful collaborative releases, “Superstar” (feat. Linn) (2018) and “Hero” (feat. Olivver The Kid) (2019).
