If the idea of dancing to the hottest House and Techno tracks with an ocean view on one side, and a city view on the other sounds amazing, then CRSSD is the festival for you. Located near the water, Waterfront Park is the perfect location for city-meets-California-beach vibes.

As a San Diego transplant, I have heard for years how amazing CRSSD is, but it wasn’t until this year that I was finally able to have my first experiences at SoCal’s self-proclaimed House x Techno festival: I started the New Year off right at CRSSD PROPER NYD, then at the spring rendition of CRSSD this past March. Now, I’m ready to pull a hat trick and see how the vibes compare at the festival’s Fall installment when it comes back to Waterfront Park in San Diego on Sept. 23rd and 24th.

The Waterfront Park in Downtown San Diego is also well laid-out. While the popularity of this festival continues to grow (no surprise with a lineup stacked with artists like Flume, Chris Lake, FISHER, Fatboy Slim, Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte, Enrico Sangiuliano, and more), the grounds never felt over-crowded. In my experience, it was very easy to move in and out of the crowd to meet up with different friend groups, and the venue was very walkable. There were also plenty of bathrooms with short lines and a variety of food vendors.

When I attended CRSSD at this same location in March, even though it was a little chilly, I had an amazing time (and this is coming from someone who hates the cold). The temperature here in San Diego in late September hangs around mid 70’s to low 80’s during the day, and mid 60’s at night, so I’m stoked to experience CRSSD in a warmer climate for my third time. The music, the location, and the mood all are top-tier at CRSSD, and I can’t wait to be back soon.
