Nicole Moudaber's Transcending 360 Audiovisual Experience

THE techno goddess herself, Nicole Moudaber returned to New York on July 29th with an all-night-long DJ set at ArtsDistrict Brooklyn. When we first heard about this event, we were immediately captivated by this idea and was only able to picture in our head what this would look like. It ended up being our first time at this breathtaking venue, but safe to say that it will absolutely not be our last. Walking in early that night, it was amazing to see that Nicole had already captured us into a journey within this iconic venue which transported us into another portal. Continuing her exploration of the digital self with a transcendental production designed to transport viewers to another dimension, the DJ, producer, label owner and visionary teamed up with Cinetica in Mexico City to create an immersive 3D world and avatar that champions the power of the feminine.

Taking inspiration from Ancient Greek mythology alongside the future-facing world of sci-fi, the avatar, emulating Nicole’s own movements, will take the audience on an immersive visual journey to a time and place where women reign supreme.

Brooklyn’s VolvoxLabs has curated a movie-like storyline, which was designed to accompany Nicole’s thundering techno set and keep the audience on a euphoric high all night long. VolvoxLabs has become a key partner in bringing Nicole’s visions to life over the years, and the obvious choice for this event.

“What we’re doing with Nicole is pushing the limits of content scale and processing power. A super powerful element of the show will be the goddess representing Nicole. Nicole has gone through extensive mocap sessions with Cinetica to create a special character that will interact and toy with the audience during the show. Seamlessly weaved into a non-linear narrative the ‘goddess’ brings a unique element of humanity with a fantastical twist. The Volvox team has been manipulating and integrating the character into special moments and futuristic worlds that will transport Nicole’s fans on a powerful emotional journey.” VolvoxLabs

All in all, ArtsDistrict Brooklyn features 360-degree projection technology and world-class audiovisuals, and as one of the world’s most forward-thinking immersive venues, it’s a perfect match for Nicole’s legacy as one of the most dynamic and powerful DJs of today. The audiovisual experience simply transcended us out of this world.
