It’s always refreshing to see passionate music lovers coming together as a collective to give back. At Neon Owl, we have preached that music has such a positive impact in our everyday lives, that there needs to be more done in the industry to reflect that. We are super excited that The Apollo Aid Foundation has been making waves by bringing artists across the dance music industry to do exactly that. The Apollo Aid Foundation brings artists on board to help charities around the world. Each artist donates the fees from one of their gigs to give back to charity. The Apollo Aid Foundation has managed to bring on names like Alex M.O.R.P.H., Ben Nicky, Bryan Kearney, John 00 Fleming, Kristina Sky, Luke Bond, Neptune Project, Solarstone, and many more to join the movement.

An incredible show was hosted at the legendary Exchange LA back in May with Roger Shah, Kristina Sky, Neptune Project, The Noble Six, Mike Koglin, Factor B. and Mark Pledger. Coming up next month is going to be another unforgettable show for charity at Verso San Francisco with an open to close set from Neptune Project hosted by Trance Family SF. We have only experienced Neptune Project for an hour or two at a time, and were completely blown away! We can only imagine the journey trance lovers would go on for this five hour set! If you guys missed them at Dreamstate San Francisco, this is your chance to make up for lost trance! For all you Above & Beyond lovers out there, we got the early scoop from the guys personally that they will be playing at least an hour of Oceanlab!

With The Apollo Aid Foundation, each artist donates 50% of their show’s fees to the charity of their choice, while the rest gets donated to charities chosen by a fan vote, with a small amount set aside to administer the Foundation. Make sure you stay tuned at http://www.apolloaid.org to learn more about the charities that will be added in for voting! We personally love that both the artists and the fans get to have a say in what causes are supported since the artists are graciously donating their fees, and the fans are spending money to catch a show.

Shows will not be the only route the organization will go down to raise funds. The first experience based event will be happening this September 12th in Ibiza where fans get to join their favorite artists in racing for the charity carting trophy. Menno de Jong, The Thrillseekers, Woody van Eyden, Will Atkinson, and Jase Thirlwall will be racing with fans which also see’s participation from Cream Ibiza. To find out more about how you can grab a seat to race to the finish line with some of your favorite artists, visit http://apolloaid.org/ibizakart. We talked to the guys over at Apollo Aid and can be expecting more experience based events for charity coming up soon!

If you’re in California, make sure you get your tickets to Neptune Project’s open to close set at Verso! There is only one thing greater than dancing the night away to great music, and that is doing it for a good cause! Tickets are available at apolloaidsf.eventbrite.com! See you on the trance floor!
