Dreamstate: What to Expect and Who to See at Insomniac’s Flagship Trance Festival

As someone who has attended Dreamstate the past two years, I hold this festival near-and-dear to my heart. I have had nothing short of an amazing time both years I have attended. The vibes at Insomniac’s SoCal trance festival are like no other, which I believe comes down to two main factors: the music and the fanbase. Trance fans are some of the friendliest, happiest, PLUR people you will meet, and when those fans come together in an atmosphere set to music that the many genres of trance encompasses, it’s a recipe for a magical festival weekend.

An exciting change the festival presents this year is a new location. Moving from its previous venue at the NOS Events Center, this year’s edition will take place at the Queen Mary Waterfront in Long Beach, California, from November 17th to 18th. While I personally had no complaints about Dreamstate’s past location at the NOS, the growing popularity of the festival saw a need for increased space. After successful events like Day Trip at the Queen Mary, I’m looking forward to what this year’s Dreamstate experience is like at this beautiful venue by the water.

From uplifting and emotional, to progressive and dark, the festival showcases top-tier artists and acts that make up the many sub-genres under the trance music umbrella.
