This year’s Electric Zoo: Hyperspace, which takes place at Randall’s Island, NY, promises new stages, an expanded festival site, and a lineup of artists that the festival itself describes as “genre-defying.”

Arguably amongst the most intriguing of the festival’s 2023 announcements are the six fully curated stages from top artists and event brands. If the promise of an enhanced festival experience and the insane lineup isn’t enough of a draw, then the chance to catch sets showcasing world premier projects and stage takeovers featuring artists at the top of their game will be enough to have anyone in their right-rave mind making arrangements to be in New York this Labor Day Weekend.

To further add to the intrigue, many of the curated stage experiences are taking place at Electric Zoo’s newly-unveiled fifth stage: The MegaMirage. Located in a secluded part of the festival grounds, this stage is described as an immersive experience, with its own dedicated entrances and exits.

On Friday night The MegaMirage takeover features a festival premiere of ‘Under Construction,’ the brand brainchild of house music kings Chris Lake and FISHER. The duo promises that this curated stage experience will have  “an insane lineup and production,” and with names on the lineup like Cloonee, Mau P, Rebūke, HoneyLuv, Yolanda Be Cool, and Charles Meyer…we believe them.

On Saturday, The MegaMirage features “Cityfox & Gray Area Present Megafox”, which can be described as “a festival within a festival.” For more than a decade, Cityfox has become well-known for hosting next-level events at iconic venues such as Avant Gardner and Brooklyn Mirage, where they’ve boasted unparalleled underground lineups. Joining forces with the unique tastes of Gray Area, this stage takeover promises to be an underground experience like no other.

On Sunday, The MegaMirage stage features the world debut of “Everything Always,” which is the new brand collaboration between the dynamic duo of John Summit and Dom Dolla.  Any set with these two together is full of can’t-miss moments, ensuring that the day three takeover of Electric Zoo’s brand new stage will go out with a bang.

Nora En Pure’s “Purified” is set to take over the Morphosis Stage on Sunday as well, featuring artists such as Elderbrook, Giolì & Assia, Paradoks, Volaris b2b Paige, and Local Dialect. The melodic vibes will be unmatched during a Sunset Set by Nora En Pure herself, and a special b2b by Nora and Franky Wah.

“Dreamland”, presented by Jake Resnicow, is Electric Zoo’s inaugural LGBTQ stage. An answer to the growing demand for inclusivity and representation, this dedicated stage will provide a platform for a multitude of unique and talented artists to showcase the diversity within the music industry.

Finishing off the list of incredible curated stages and unique experiences offered by Electric Zoo this year is one that bass music fans won’t want to miss: “Liquid Stranger Presents: Wakaan Takeover”. With a dedicated fan base due to his boundary-pushing sound and “Wakaan” label imprint, Liquid Stranger promises to deliver a diverse lineup of artists at the helm of their genre at this stage takeover.
