Stepping onto her first Groove Cruise, Tita Lau was feeling wavy—literally and figuratively. “The vibes were unreal,” she said, layered up against the ocean breeze.

And if she were stranded on an island? She’d bring the essentials: James Hype, water, and music. Because really, what else do you need?

As captain of the ship, Tita would make a quick detour to her hometown, Bristol, to pick up her friends before heading back out to sea.

A World of Connections

From Europe to America, Tita has made deep connections throughout her journey. “Italy has a special place in my heart,” she shared, reminiscing about taking her dad to Rome to see the Sistine Chapel. As for playing shows? America feels like a second home.

She thrives on the unique energy in every city. “In the U.S., it’s different everywhere. And in Italy? Every single pocket of people has their own way of vibing to music. I love the challenge of reading the crowd.”

Finding Home on the Road

Life on tour is non-stop, but Tita keeps herself grounded with small rituals. “Washing my clothes and hanging them up—that makes me feel normal,” she laughed. “Going to the gym, staying fit for tour, just doing my things.”

Her interests go far beyond music, too. “I love fashion. Everything about it. I love photoshoots, experimenting with clothes,” she said. And while fans may know her as a DJ and producer, she has another talent: musical theater. “I love singing,” she revealed.

Success, Growth & What’s Next

Has she achieved success? “I feel more successful than I did 5-10 years ago, but there’s so much more I want to do. There’s more success to be had in this crazy life.”

That drive is leading her into a new chapter. In February, she’s stepping back from touring to reset and create. “James [Hype] and I are live streaming every Friday—that’s where T Gang was born. I’ll be back in the studio every day, and I can’t wait to just focus on the music.”

Still, nothing compares to performing.

“ Being on stage, in front of everyone—it’s my absolute favorite thing. Feeling everyone’s energy is unreal. ”

Top Moment as an Artist So Far

When asked what her top moment being an artist was thus far, she responded “Playing Coachella. As a UK artist at a festival that isn’t all DJs, that was a moment I couldn’t believe. Seeing fans across the world wearing T Gang and T-Chella T-shirts…to be so far from home and see people repping my brand—it was incredible.”

With her unstoppable energy, bold style, and passion for music, Tita Lau is only getting started.
