Ladytron, an English electronic band consisting of Helen Marnie (lead vocals, synthesizers), Mira Aroyo (vocals, synthesizers) and Daniel Hunt (synthesizers, guitar, vocals), formed in Liverpool in 1999. Initially touted as leaders of the new electro-pop scene during that time, Ladytron played an influential role for both the independent and mainstream electronic pop music that followed.
Throughout the years, each member has been involved in their own various side projects, from DJ-ing individually in clubs around the world, to writing and producing for a wide variety of artists including Lush, Nine inch Nails, and Christina Aguilera. Following the release of their critically acclaimed 2023 album, Time’s Arrow, and just ahead of their North American tour this fall, the band has most recently released a captivating music video for “Misery Remember Me.”
The video, featuring breathtaking landscapes surrounding vocalist Helen Marnie’s home, creates the ideal setting to transport the viewer into a dreamlike world, void of the constraints of time.
“The sheer beauty of these landscapes mirrors the vulnerability of the song, as it raises questions about whether beauty alone is enough…we must embrace the now, but always allow ourselves to dream. ‘Misery Remember Me’ encapsulates this ethos.” – Helen Marnie
Following a series of successful U.S. spring tour dates and a string of summer festival performances across Europe, Ladytron kicks-off the fall installment of their United States tour this September with a headline show at Irving Plaza in New York, followed by another at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles, with a grand finale at San Diego’s CRSSD Fest. In November, the band will captivate audiences in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and Mexico City’s Corona Capital Festival.
