CRUISIN’ WITH EDM THOR: N3WPORT

We had a blast hanging out with N3WPORT (Joey Lehning) on his first Groove Cruise through all three of his sets, the beer olympics, and Open Door Sessions. Kicking off night one, Joey had one of the most high-energy sets, dancing on stage and into the crowd, owning the title of EDM Thor that he was given by his fans. Saturday at the Atrium for the EMO themed stage also did not disappoint, alongside Nikita Page, SOUNDR, DVDDY, and Vanthe. Last but not least, the night time pool set was my favorite on the very last night of the cruise. It made one of the perfect closing sets with Trivecta, MitiS, Gem & Tauri, Amidy, Rico & Miella all raging in the crowd.

N3WPORT had been making music for some time now, but his career recently escalated fairly quickly. From playing a couple of pre-pandemic shows, to playing massive events like Lost Lands with Excision and Lost In Dreams, Joey is grateful for all the opportunities that have come recently.

Joey shares with us the sacrifices of balancing his artist career with a 9-5, along with his gratitude for his support system back home that keeps him grounded. As one of the fewer extroverts in the artist pool, we absolutely loved and vibed with Joey’s energy. It was easy to tell that his positive outlook on life definitely impacted his upward success in the music industry.
