At a time when the UK club scene is embracing the euphoric energy of 90s rave, ‘YOU.ME.NOW’ is an album that is perfectly suited for the here and now.
Genix’s second studio album ‘YOU.ME.NOW’ arrives June 14th 2024 on Anjunabeats.

Adding another stellar chapter to his illustrious career, Genix delivers ‘YOU.ME.NOW,’ an album that transcends the ordinary and takes listeners on a euphoric journey. From the very first beat, this album strikes a perfect balance between ethereal, church-like keys and deep, resonant bass lines. The heavy, crispy kicks and soft hi-hats weave seamlessly together, creating a well-mixed low-end foundation that supports the lush pads and arpeggios throughout the album.
My personal favorite, “Dream of You,“ showcases a sexy, strutty, and bouncy UK influence that adds a unique flair to the mix. The first quarter of the album introduces us to a heavy influence of keys, setting the stage for the journey ahead. As we move into the second quarter, the music takes a heavier turn with acid stabs and more intricate keys. The middle section delves even deeper before we finally arrive at “Flying,“ a track that perfectly encapsulates the feeling of winding down after a 10 pm – 10 am party bender at Space Miami. It’s a song filled with positivity and relief, a perfect closer that leaves you grateful and happy to be alive, with its drum break beats signaling the end of one chapter and the hopeful beginning of another.
Building on years of innovation and versatility across the spectrum of electronic music, Genix comes full circle on this second studio album. An established DJ and producer who’s maintained his status as an innovator for the duration of his career, and following an unbeatable run of releases that’s cemented him as one of the leading artists on Anjunabeats, Genix was inspired to look towards his roots on his sophomore album.
‘YOU.ME.NOW’ is an exhilarating fusion of early-rave euphoria and Genix’s unmistakably modern approach to production. From the iconic piano melodies that ring through the opener ‘Strange, Strange Days,’ to his rework of Corona’s 90s anthem ‘Baby, Baby,’ there’s a timeless quality to ‘YOU.ME.NOW.’
“ Musically, I wanted to try and push those sounds that I’m finding myself listening to all the time at home,” Genix says. “Music that is based more around short hooks and vocals, instead of the longer song format. I’m a huge fan of pianos, and I wanted to draw on those to give YOU.ME.NOW a 90s house vibe, but to also put my own stamp on it. ”
The album arrives hot on the heels of Genix’s floor-filling singles ‘Baby Baby’, ‘Dance Like Nobody’s Watching’, ‘On & On’ and ‘Lights, Sound, Camera, Action’, which saw multiple spins from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard and Arielle Free, with a Radio 1 Dance presents feature on the station throughout May. Further support on UK radio has come from KISS FM’s Ben Malone and Sam Divine, as well as over in the USA on Sirius XM BPM & Diplo’s Revolution. These singles have also repeatedly featured on the BBC’s flagship Premier League show Match of the Day since January.
Genix recently performed at an exclusive fan-only event in Battersea Power Station’s ‘Lift 109’. He followed that up with a sold-out event at 1Rebel London Victoria, which saw the UK producer play a DJ set alongside 1Rebel spin-class instructors and members.
‘YOU.ME.NOW’ is available now on 2xLP splatter vinyl.
‘YOU.ME.NOW’ glides on the momentum that Genix established with his 2021 debut album ‘199X’, and is the culmination of a 20-year career that’s seen him produce hundreds of tracks and remixes.
“ I’ve really found my creative identity over the past decade,” Genix says. “I feel like I’m part of something bigger, and it’s allowed me to flourish and be more expansive with what I’m trying to do. ”
Recent years have seen the Anjunabeats linchpin close Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge Amphitheatre, launch his club-oriented ‘Warehouse55’ EP series and event brand, and sell out two headline Warehouse55 events in London and Los Angeles. Genix’s last EP on Anjunabeats, ‘Warehouse55 (Volume 2)’, earned support from the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Joris Voorn, Rebuke, and Armin van Buuren.
Genix embarks on a headline album tour this June spanning North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, with stops at Anjunadeep Explorations in Albania, New York, Outernet in London and many more.
