This Friday, November 29th, Manila Killa is dropping his highly-anticipated new single, Need You Closer. A fiery collaboration with Sarah de Warren, the track is set to release on Three Six Zero Recordings and promises to be an electrifying addition to this year’s growing catalog of techno-influenced anthems. After a first listen of the preview, it’s clear that the single perfectly captures the essence of what it means to be lost in a night that never seems to end, pulling you deeper into the moment.

The story behind this collaboration begins a few years ago when Manila Killa and Sarah de Warren first connected. Their shared vision for a new sound rooted in grittier, cutting-edge sonic elements soon came to life. Eventually, their mutual understanding of what makes a club track feel alive led them straight to “Need You Closer,”channeling the raw intensity of late nights and warehouse vibes.

Sarah and I met a few years ago and connected on the idea that the type of music we both want to make draws from a darker, faster, more energetic sonic world. I first heard her vocals, unknowingly, on the Eli Brown song ‘Be The One’ and immediately knew we had to do something together.

For Sarah de Warren, the track was the perfect opportunity to imbue a personal touch to her songwriting. “I wrote this vocal sample one night in my apartment and was so stoked when Manila Killa jumped on it,” she shares. The result? A “high-energy, situationshippy banger” that perfectly captures the feeling of those fleeting, electric moments between two people caught in a whirlwind of charged emotions.

The track itself is a blend of pulsating synths, hard-hitting drums, and Sarah’s unmistakable vocals. Unapologetically designed for the dance floor, the powerful build-ups followed by the driving energy carrying the drops make the production impossible to resist. This makes for an earworm that’s bound to kick off an adrenaline rush in the listener, and is exactly the kind of song that fuels late-night adventures and sparks connections that may become deeper than they appear.

Additionally, Manila Killa is gearing up to perform at the Give Thanks Festival in San Francisco’s Cow Palace this Friday, where he’ll be bringing a collaborative project, Starsigns, to the stage with long-time collaborators Yetep and Myrne. The trio’s dynamic live set, which made a noteworthy splash at this summer’s Lost In Dreams festival, will surely bring an unforgettable barrage of sounds that will add even more heat to the festival’s already incredible lineup.

Listen to “Need You Closer” this Friday on Three Six Zero Recordings.
